Freeing Alex - Review

Review

The title says it all this book is about Freeing Alex. I loved this book i truly did I'd recommend it to anyone.
Alexandra Drake receives inheritance from her "aunt" who has died and with that she uproots her and her daughter and leaves for London. She leaves her abusive husband who has left her with scars inside and out, mentally and physically.
When she arrives in London she finds out one of the businesses she now owns is a very large and successful hotel in the centre of London. That's where she meets the hot and sexy general manager James Aconi whom she forms a friendship. He ends up her saviour from some situations. She also finds out a lot more about her family.

I don't want to say anymore as I'll ruin it but this book is hot, sexy, emotional and exciting. There is a second book in the series Loving Alex and a third one coming at the start of 2014 Eternally Alex.

The author Sarah Elizabeth Ashley only came out as an author in 2013 and Freeing Alex is her first book. She is a mother and lives in the UK. She is inspired from new authors that have came from nothing. The blog underneath this has a Q&A with Sarah have a look. Seriously just go check her out shes amazing. Plus the books are only 77p you can't really grumble about that.

Sarah Elizabeth Ashley - New Adult Author

Sarah Elizabeth Ashley
New Adult Author
You Should Know About

Sarah Elizabeth Ashley author of Freeing Alex and Loving Alex has been answering some of my questions so let's see what this up and coming author has to say.

1- What is your favourite book that you have written?
I love Freeing Alex for no other reason other than it was my first, but really I like them all.

2-What is your favourite book by another author?
The Education of Sebastian and The Education of Caroline – Jane Harvey-Berrick.  I wept for days and I love the Black Dagger Brotherhood - I sadly have Phury as the screensaver on my phone (I know it's sad but a girl can dream!)

3-What do you like to do in your spare time when not writing?
My family sails, although we’re all a bit fair-weather, cooking and reading, of course.  Oh, and I love a night out dancing with the girls a few Strawberry Bellini.

4-Is there any authors that inspired you to write?
Lots, but particularly new authors that came from nowhere.

5-Do you listen to music while writing if so who or what genre?
I sometimes listen to music, other times I like total silence. In general my musical taste is wide and varied.  My kids are embarrassed by some of the stuff I listen to because I’m apparently “too old” for it.  I like everything from Beethoven to Rizzle Kicks.

6-Have you any upcoming books you'd like to tell us about?
I’ve one that is completed and is currently being edited – Eternally Alex, I’m hoping to publish at the end of January, maybe sooner and one that I’m currently working on.  I'm also working on another, working title is Being Benito – it’s a prequel to The Alexandra Drake Series – It won’t be part of the series, and has been written after I received a number of requests from my readers.  Once that’s done, there is another that is started and shelved so that I could work on Being Benito- nothing to do with Alex at all.

7- Tell us some interesting facts about yourself?
  • I’m a true Piscean and have an over active imagination
  • I’m a Staffordshire girl through and through.
  • In common with Dan Aykroyd  I have duck toes, or partial simple syndactyly.  Henry viii would have burnt me as a witch!
  • I'm not scared of spiders, they all send for me when they find one.

Please go and check out these links for more about the author and her books. You won't be disappointed. Also give her a follow on twitter or like on Facebook for news about upcoming releases and more information. Her first two books are only 77p on Amazon.

Liliana Rhodes

The Rock Gods of Romance boxed set includes authors Liliana Rhodes, Marian Tee, Ava Lore, Caitlyn Duffy, Mina V Esquerra, KT Fischer and Clarise Tan.

Lose yourself in a wildly passionate, swooningly romantic and enthralling joyride with the Rock Gods of Romance Boxed Set, which features NEW stories of all heat levels from NYT bestselling author Ava Lore and Marian Tee, USA Today bestselling author Liliana Rhodes, and Amazon bestselling authors Caitlyn Duffy, K.T. Fisher, and Mina V. Esguerra.

With this collection, all your secret fantasies and daydreams will come to life in the arms of the sweetest and sexiest rock stars you'll ever find in romance novels.

I have a few questions answered from USA Bestselling author Liliana Rhodes.

Question Time

1- What is your favourite book that you have written?
I honestly wish I could choose a favorite. In my rockstar stories Lucky Break and The Ballad of Jude, I get to hang out with rockstars. Charming the Alpha was fun because I could create a world where anything could happen. And in the His Every Whim world I get to rub elbows with billionaires who might even be in danger like in No Regrets.  I love them all because I get swept away each time I write them.

2-What is your favourite book by another author?
The answer to this probably changes with my mood, but one book I find myself always going back to is Interview With the Vampire by Anne Rice. I remember getting sucked into that book the first time I read it and I couldn't put it down. I love how she developed her characters in it.

3-what do you like to do in your spare time when not writing?
When I'm not writing I'm usually playing or reading with my two year old son. We also like to bake together.

4-Is there any authors that inspired you to write?
Definitely Anne Rice. I love the depth of her characters and the description she gives, it makes me feel like I'm there too. I met her once about ten years ago and she was so sweet. She asked if I was a writer and I said no, but that I enjoyed writing and her response was that that made me a writer. I never thought of myself as a writer before that.

5-Do you listen to music while writing if so who or what genre?
I love music but don't always listen to music while I'm writing because sometimes I find it distracting. But there's usually a specific song or group of songs that I think of while I'm writing a particular character as I write. When I wrote the His Every Whim series there was a lot of Dave Matthews Band on my playlist. My latest, that's in the Rock Gods of Romance Boxed Set is The Ballad of Jude and I kind of alternated between Something by The Beatles and Derek and the Dominos' Layla album while writing that. Normally though I listen to rock or alternative music and I love 90's music, but I'll listen to anything that connects with me.

6-Have you any upcoming books you'd like to tell us about?
My latest is The Ballad of Jude which is in the Rock Gods of Romance 6 story bundle. Jude's story is the first part of the Backstage With Silverlight series and I'll be releasing that by itself later this week. Part two, Cade's story will be released by the end of this month. My next book after Jude will be the sequel to my werewolf romance Charming the Alpha and that will also be out later this month. I have a busy December planned.

7- Tell us some interesting facts about yourself?
People always find it interesting that I write about 80% of my books on my iPhone. Being a stay at home mom I try to grab whatever time I can to write so my phone is perfect for this. I really don't know what I'd do without my phone. Another thing people seem to find interesting is that I was an extra in the 2002 movie Spiderman. That was fun, but you can't see me in any scenes because there were so many other people. Lastly, I have the hardest time talking about myself and I'm really shy and quiet in person...which really isn't interesting at all lol!

I'll be posting my review as soon as I've read them and I would like to thank Liliana for answering my questions and for allowing me to post this on my blog.

Gabriel's Redemption Blog Tour

First of all I would like to say thanks to Sylvain Reynard and Enn for letting me participate in the blog tour and reading of the arc.

My Review:
I just want to mention Professor Picton kicks ass I love that woman. I felt like I waited an eternity to read this book and then it finally landed in my inbox about 5pm UK time and the next thing i knew it was 2am once I start a good book I can't stop. Julia and Gabriel have came a long way from that first time meeting again in Toronto they are now married and Gabriel is hoping to become a father but Juliannes graduate programme could threaten that happening any time soon. Professor Emerson does not fail in his seductiveness, sexyness and all round charm in this book and let me just say I wish i had a teacher/professor like him he might have made school a lot better.
Gabriel's Redemption still feature the same characters as the first two books Paul, Christa the bitch who is still bitchy as you'll find out I personally don't think I've hated anyone in a book as much as I do her. Rachael and Arran feature with their story of attempting to have a baby. And their is love for Tom, Julianne's dad but I'm not saying any more I don't want to spoil it.

Sylvain Reynard ended this series just right with enough information to keep you sane and happy with the outcome of Julianne and Gabriel. I love his style of writing and can not wait for The Raven which is his upcoming book.  I don't think I've got much more to say except if you haven't read this or any of the Gabriel series what is wrong with you? Go get them now you won't regret it. This book is definately 5 out of 5 stars for me.

Bio: I'm interested in the way literature can help us explore aspects of the human condition - particularly suffering, sex, love, faith, and redemption. My favourite stories are those in which a character takes a journey, either a physical journey to a new and exciting place, or a personal journey in which he or she learns something about himself/herself.

I'm also interested in how aesthetic elements such as art, architecture, and music can be used to tell a story or to illuminate the traits of a particular character. In my writing, I combine all of these elements with the themes of redemption, forgiveness, and the transformative power of goodness.

I try to use my platform as an author to raise awareness about the following charities: Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation, WorldVision, Alex's Lemonade Stand, and Covenant House. For more information, see my Twitter account.

Kristie Cook - Double Cover Reveal

It's a double-cover reveal (and a sale!) for author Kristie Cook's The Book of Phoenix series! The cover of The Space Between (Book 1) has been made-over, and we're sharing for the first-time ever, the title and cover for Book 2 (see below).

THE SPACE BETWEEN

New Adult Paranormal Romance

First installment of the Book of Phoenix series.

When Life Falls to Pieces, Answers Lie in the Space Between

Leni Drago can't make a smart decision on her own, according to her mother anyway--the few times she's tried resulted in disaster. When her uncle sends her on a dance tour in Italy to find her real self, she returns to an empty home and any evidence of his existence wiped out. Then things get even stranger, like the mysterious appearances of Jeric Winters--inked, pierced and a hit-'em-and-quit-'em type. He's one decision that should be easy for Leni. Or is he?

Jeric doesn't do girlfriends. Unless they're someone else's. He left the fighting cage and modeling for a reason, and girls who want more than a night of fun are distractions he doesn't need. Especially when they come with as much baggage as Leni carries. But he can't shake the gut feeling that he needs to know her. All of her.

To discover the truth behind their connection and their ties to a journal from 1989, they must face painful secrets from their pasts. And they must do so quickly because their own existences are falling to pieces.

This first part of The Book of Phoenix takes you on a heart-wrenching ride as you discover the answers that lie in The Space Between.

THE SPACE BEYOND

(Working Description)

In this second installment of The Book of Phoenix series, Leni and Jeric are (re)learning their roles as the Phoenix Guardians and becoming the leaders they once were while taking on their first mission - guiding a Separated soul to the Gate. But that soul has her own issues, including supporting her sister and their deathly ill parent while dealing with an ex who doesn't want to be an ex anymore and a budding romance with a guy who could be her saving grace...or her fatal end. The last thing she needs right now is a couple of psychos trying to convince her that she'll never find her soul's other half except through them. What does that even mean, anyway? And why on Earth should she trust them when they don't even trust each other?

Coming March 2014
